Douglas Cridland credits a great deal of his signature colour palette to growing up in the prairies. The monochromatic colours that characterize his work are inspired by the bleaching effects of the bright prairie light. When blended with traditional architecture and modern elements, the end result is unarguably timeless in restraint, yet reflective of each client. More than a specific style, Cridland’s design aesthetic is a way of thinking, a lifestyle and an attitude. His over 25‑year career has produced a portfolio that includes residential, retail, and office spaces — many of which have been featured on television and in national publications.

Lisa draws inspiration from nature and art, using these elements to create a balance between the natural and built environment. She received her Bachelor of Applied Interior Design degree at Mount Royal University and joined Cridland Associates directly after graduating. Lisa is a critical part of the entire design process; from space planning with the architects to styling an interior with art and finishes. She believes that the beauty of a home comes from the careful attention to detail carried out through the entire project.

Samantha is an avid traveller, seeking design inspiration in the details and construction elements of historic architecture. She is personally drawn to monochromatic patterns and strong textures. Samantha’s strength is the connection she creates with clients as she is fascinated by how individuals inhabit the built environment in their own unique way. She uses this perspective as the basis for developing personal design solutions in each residence. Sam completed the Bachelor of Applied Interior Design degree at Mount Royal University and became part of the Cridland Associates team after graduation and a 2-month Euro trip.

Ferry loves to watch our vibrant city grow. That’s probably due to her previous work in project and facility management and the relocation and logistics industry. Needless to say, her strong background and remarkable customer service are an essential part of how Cridland Associates bring spaces together. And, much like our clients, Ferry’s favorite part of her job is seeing the finished product.
